Writers' Society: Materials Editor

Throughout this year the Writer's Society has given me a space to bond over a love for reading and writing, inspired me to improve my own work through feedback, and introduced me to great friends and writers. Taking up the editorial position would allow me to contribute to this project that has benefited me vastly.

I have been an avid reader of poetry for many years now, especially by contemporary poets, also writing hundreds of pages of my own work. I particularly enjoy literary magazines which publish experimental work by newer writers. During this time I have developed a good practice of noticing writing that stands out in its originality. I would love to utilize my familiarity with contemporary verse to select the most vivid, inventive, and skillful voices to share with the wider audience of The Writers' Block.
