Volleyball Club: Men's Team Captain

Hey!

I’m Mario and I am running this year to be captain of the UCL Men’s Volleyball Team. I have been playing volleyball for more than 6 years now and this past year has easily been the best. Competing alongside a group of the best volleyball players UCL has to offer has been an absolute pleasure. That is why next year I would be honoured to represent this team in the committee as well as lead them to even more success in the future. 

My past experiences as captain of my high school team and committee positions in athletic and student councils have taught me the importance of communication, leadership, and organization which are all values I would love to carry forward to help this team succeed. Over the past year I have become very close to everyone on the team and I hope to bring this into the new year and continue to build a positive and nurturing team environment where we all push each other to improve while having a good time. 

Our current captain (Morris) has done an excellent job managing the team this year. Over the last few months, I got the pleasure of working alongside him and got some insight on all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to keep this team running. After witnessing all this first hand I can confidently say that I am ready for the challenge and will ensure that everything continues to run smoothly next year.

The future is bright for UCL Men’s volleyball and I would love to lead this team next year.
