Vietnamese Society: Publicity Officer

Hey everyone ! My name is Linda Hiền, I was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland and am currently a first year Arts and Sciences student at UCL.

I’ve had an incredible experience at university so far, thanks in part to attending events put on by this year’s Vietsoc committee. I would like to get more involved with this society so that we can enjoy another great year together.

I hope to maintain a strong social media presence by creating more interactive stories, posting content about our events and projects, but also our culture and community. In the past, I've promoted the Instagram page for my high school year by creating social media posts and posters for the events we've organised to raise money for our end-of-year prom. I have some marketing experience as well - I completed a course by Dentsu in which I learned the fundamentals of marketing and was asked to develop a campaign for Cadbury !

I consider myself to be creative, organised, motivated, and put 100% of myself in everything that I do. And I love graphic design!

I am committed to take on the responsibility to publicise and create a space that celebrates our culture and encourages more people to join in!

As last years events officer, I have learnt how to be really good at the job and thoroughly enjoy it. Making the TikTok’s and instagram posts, talking to different people and going out my comfort zone brought out my creative side. I’m standing again because I want to continue this role and keep creating a media space that enables engagement for all of my viet babies ❤️
