Thai Society: Treasurer

Hi everyone! I am Monet, a first-year Economics student and I’m running for Treasurer of the Thai Society next year. As a current member, I have gained valuable insights into its functioning and the contributions made by the committees.  

Having done Tycoon Enterprise, and placing first in the United Kingdom, I was able to not only learn about marketing but also assist in finance. Through this experience, I have developed an understanding of the importance of commitment and team leadership in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all members. Thus, I would like to utilise these skills to support Thai society and strive towards the society’s core values. 

If elected as the Treasurer, I would aim to maximise the society’s budget while seeking opportunities to increase its funds. I intend to build upon the incredible initiatives of previous committees and expand them to bring Thai students at UCL closer. I am confident in my ability to manage the budget for all social events, communicate effectively with the student union and lead the society as a whole. I believe I am a strong candidate for the Treasurer position as my strengths in diverse financial literacy and communications skills will enable me to perform well.
