Taekwondo Club: Treasurer

Money Money Money ??? (if you get the reference and where it’s from hehe)

Hey guys, it’s Megan here, and you might know me as the one who got all my stuff stolen in the Autumn comp back in 2022 except my leg guards? (insert Sajed’s voice: this one here, lost everything ~ ya that’s me) BUT!!! I promise that I will look after the club’s finance properly, and we will not run into a financial crisis? 

For the past years, I have successfully developed myself into an excel veteran (IB internal assessments skillz ayyyy here we go???) I will maintain professionalism, and I WILL NOT LOSE YOUR MONEY!!!! Many people may not be confident about handling a large amount of information when it comes to society's money, but I am! I will serve UCL TKD with all my heart, and make sure we’re able to run efficiently with a sufficient budget. UCL TKD is such an amazing family, and I will take care of the finance, just like how everyone takes care of each other with full of love and responsibility?

If I can be elected as the Treasurer, I will make sure that you can all get your kit, merch and sponsorships sorted. I will also make sure that people will pay properly, especially when it comes to memberships (I understand the pain when people don't pay) because we do not want imposters?

With that being said, I sincerely hope that you can have faith in me, and I will give my everything to serve each and every single one of you?

During my first year in TKD society, I was deeply inspired by the energy here, thus I’m really looking forward to joining the committee and supporting the club organization next year as a treasurer.

Being a good treasurer requires a good sense and control of money, which I believe is my outstanding strength to most of my peers. Although I’m not a professional accountant, I managed my budget well and knew how to allocate saving wisely. In my free time, I also like to study financing skills and do my own stock investment (current reward able to combat with UK annual inflation rate). These experiences, coupled with my responsibility and reliability, will help me keep a clear track of club’s budget and expenses ——Our club’s money will always be safe in my charge. I’m also able to present organized charts, graphs and financial reports with high proficiency in using Excel and other MS Offices.

My other strength is the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently. For instance, my bargaining skill will ensure we get more economic prices in merchandising. I can also outreach sponsors for competitions by actively making connections and advertising our club achievements. Most importantly, I won’t be procrastinating in replying to WhatsApp messages and submitting any paperwork.

In conclusion, I believe my solid financial and communication skills, along with my enthusiasm and responsibility in serving for UCL TKD club will be an asset to the whole committee. /
