I believe that I possess the necessary skills and qualities to be a great social media sec for our club, and make a significant contribution to the club’s future success and longevity.

I understand the importance of creating engaging content, including post-trip videos, ads for socials, and general information that stands out and really shows why surf is the best society. In the past, I have been lucky enough to edit a few short videos for GoPro that ended up on their social media, and I have experience of running a small social media account which was very successful.

When it comes to taking photos I can be like the Kelly Slater but of photography, unless it involves film cameras, and then it will be like my surfing skills (mediocre at best).

Overall, I think I am the right candidate for social media sec for next year. I am committed to working hard, being creative, and promoting the club in the best possible light. Thank you for your consideration.

Ella Rouja

Hi, Im Ella! I'm extremely keen to run for the position of Surf Club Media Sec as I love surfing, (obviously!), Surf Club and any surf related media & videography! As a fan of many surf media outlets, and personal enjoyer of surf photography & videography I feel I have the skills (and cameras!) to make some awesome social & surf trip content as well as engaging and informative media outreach for UCL students.

I've had experience managing multiple social media accounts at home for popular local restaurants as well as public figures, helping them to create engaging content for different platforms. I've also had plenty of experience in using graphic design tools and video editing software which I'd use to maintain surf clubs fun & funky media presence as well as engage with other students who don't know about the wonders of Surf Club yet!

I believe that informative but non-overbearing communication with Surf Clubs followers is crucial for the success of the club, and I am confident that I'd be able to help Surf Club improve its already awesome channels of communication and student engagement.

Overall, I would just love to be a contributing member of Surf Soc and get to put my passions/hobbies to good use in order to give back to a club that has taken me on some stupendous surf trips (Portugal & Morocco) and helped me to make so many cool different friends!

Thanks for reading,, Stay Stoked!!!!!

Gabe Brown

Hi everyone

This year, I will be running for Media Secretary for Surf Club for my final year at UCL. I will be going into my fourth year in UCL surf club with the previous two years being part of the comittee (treasurer and social sec). In the past, I have created Surf club key rings and a graphic for the surf club socials.

I would love for the opportunity to use my skills in design for a new wave of surf club branding and merch going into the next academic year. I have got several ideas and styles in mind and I would be committed to providing the club with a strong social media presence on Instagram. Thus helping to boost our member base and help keep current members well informed about 'what's on' and quick access to all our information.

For merch im thinking a custom t shirt design, potentially another round of boonies with a new logo as well as checking the demand for other items such as ponchos, surfboard stickers, fleeces etc

hope ya vote for me <3
