Nerea Sainz de la Maza Melon

Hi! My name is Nerea, I joined stage crew earlier this year as deputy sd for rhaps. Despite it being my first show with stage crew, I was met with a very friendly and welcoming environment. As welfare officer my aim would be to further this so that all members can have the same experience.

To ensure this I plan on maintaining the weekly welfare drop-in sessions, as well as, having regular welfare socials throughout the year for all members to join. I will also aim to make myself available to all members (especially during show weeks) so that all concerns can be addressed as soon as possible.

Clara Ng

Hi! My name is Clara Ng, and I'm a 2nd year STS student. I joined Stage Crew this year, and have had so much fun being part of the crew of KCIII as well as the lighting designer for the Pole Society Showcase! From these experiences, I have a good idea of just how stressful show weeks can be, and so I understand how hard it can be to take care of yourself during them. If you've worked with me on these shows, you know I'm a big advocate of staying hydrated and rested! I hope to continue to foster a safe and welcoming environment in Stage Crew, and to be a safe space for people to come to talk to about any issues that may arise.

I will maintain the weekly welfare drop-ins, and I will also be available outside of these times for a chat at anytime! I aim to collaborate with the Social Secretary to organise more fun socials to help stage crew relax (as you guys deserve!). My current plan is to organise Welfare Workshops, where I can provide resources for navigating mental health issues, as well as general advice for balancing workloads while participating in shows.

Having had experience dealing with mental health and welfare issues before, both personally and with others, I hope to use this experience to keep you guys as happy and stress-free as possible!
