Kian Khan

Hi everyone, I’m Kian and I’m a 1st year Politics and International Relations student and I’ll be running for Vice President. Having been a part of the society as a first year rep, I’ve really enjoyed being involved with the Sri Lankan Society so far. From the games nights to the Simmons social, these events have been a highlight for me and through them, I’ve made some amazing friends.

My Sri Lankan heritage is something I’m very proud of and as Vice President, I look forward to taking the SL soc to the next level. In terms of events, I have some ideas lined up to collaborate with the other SL societies in the UK, as well as doing joint events with the other south Asian societies here at UCL.

Preserving the Sri Lankan culture is something that is very important to me as well so as your Vice President, I’d love to host some kotthu nights and have regular carrom sessions as well. I’m a big SL cricket fan so I would love to incorporate that into next years agenda. Whether it be watching the games live as a society or even organising for the SL soc to go to one of the games when Sri Lanka tour England next year, I hope we can come together to support our team!

If you’re looking for big socials and good fun, elect me as your Vice President :) looking forward to being a part of the team next year!
