Sri Lankan Society: Marketing Officer

If I'm being honest, the main reason I am running is because I have really enjoyed being part of the committee this year. I truly believe that we as a team have managed to transform UCL Sri Lankan Society and we have made ourselves known as one of the best societies at UCL.

Part of that is due to the marketing that went on in the background and the effort that was put in to advertise our events and society. Marketing is an integral part of being a successful society and I know I would be a great candidate for this role as I have the drive and passion to showcase what a great society we are. I am also keen to welcome all the new freshers and new members to our society through social media outlets. 

I'm good at communicating and networking and am able to adapt to any situation. I also have good organisation and planning skills which is shown as I have managed to balance a busy schedule along side my degree. More importantly, I feel that as I am going into my 4th year at UCL, I have a slight advantage as I am aware of a few marketing strategies that would encourage UCL students to come to our events. 

I'm also very creative and am good with technology, so I believe I would be good at making eye catching instagram posts. Moreover, I want to carry on creating content on TikTok to gain a larger audience and illustrate what a great society we are. 

I'm excited to see what UCL SL Society 2023 do, and I would love to be part of the team that make the difference.
