Snowsports Club: Freestyle Captain

My name is Cosmo, and I am a first-year Management Science student.

With my experience, skills, and passion for freestyle skiing, I am confident that I can be a valuable asset to UCL Snowsports as the freestyle captain. I am fully committed to the role and eager to contribute to the team’s success.

Having competed in AJAM and participated in freestyle training every week this academic year, not only have they become an essential aspect of my weekly routine, but they have also provided me with a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and be part of a motivated crew. As a Freestyle Captain, I hope to perpetuate this welcoming culture and encourage more people to discover this sport that I passionately love and create unforgettable memories.

Furthermore, my experience as a Sports Executive in UCL’s School of Management Society has provided me with a range of skills to organize events, such as financial budgeting, adaptability, and pragmatism. Leading a football tournament with 60+ participants helped me understand the importance of being flexible while anticipating incoming challenges. I plan to apply these skills to offer Snowsports members an excellent AJAM and meticulously planned training.

I appreciate that as an incoming second-year student, I may be fortunate to be given such a significant responsibility. Nonetheless, I am confident that my background and experiences have equipped me with the right set of skills to excel in this role.
