Jesmean Kaur

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

I am Jesmean Kaur, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Treasurer for the UCL Sikh Society. As a first-year Politics and International Relations student and a proud First-Year Representative for the society, I have truly appreciated participating in Sikhi-related events and learning about our shared values and beliefs. I have comprehended how events are structured and how they function, and I am now inspired to take the next step and join the committee.

As Treasurer, I am committed to budgeting appropriately to ensure that the Society continues running, while also working with the committee to plan events that honour our beliefs. The funds will allow the Society to continue its important work, which includes not only social events and Sikhi talks but also contributing to charitable causes and community service projects.

As a Sikh, I hold dear to my heart the message of 'seva’ (selfless service) propagated by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. I am committed to creating links and reinforcing this message by contributing to our community's well-being. I believe that by embodying Guru Ji's teachings, we can make a positive impact on the world around us. By bringing together like-minded individuals, we can create opportunities for learning and collaboration.

I am confident that my skills, passion for Sikhi and commitment to service will enable me to excel in this role and contribute to the society's success.
