As your president, my manifesto is based on “Building a sense of community and belonging” which consists of 3 key pillars:
1. Cohort-based support via experience sharing
- Year 1: Orientation camp, portfolio guidance, OSCE tips
- Year 2: Presentation, Laboratory report support
- Year 3: Investigative Studies Project (ISP) strategies, Summer hospital placement interview and industrial placement QnA, Oriel preparation tips
- Year 4: Research project support, Wiki assignment support
2. Open platform for communication
To shy to speak up what on your mind? Let it out on an anonymous confession page to share your thoughts, feelings and secrets without fear of judgement!
3. Monthly-themed events
- September: Back to School (Orientation camp, Boat party, SOP merchandise)
- October: It is all about connection… (Board games night, movie night)
- November: Druggies& Pharmies (Drug spelling bee competition)
- December: Ho Ho Ho (Christmas night, Secret Santa)
- January: New Year, New You (Sport week, Awareness walk)
- February: Love Your Heart (CPR and First Aid training workshop, Matchmaking week)
- March: Stress management (Cooking competition, Cohesion day)
- April: Easter farewell (Graduation ball)
- May: What’s after school (Summer bbq, Picnic)
Together we can create a more connected and supportive community that empowers us to thrive. As your president, I will be committed to making this vision a reality. With your help, we can transform the School of Pharmacy into a place where every student feels valued and supported.
