Running, Athletics and Cross Country Club: Social Media Officer

Fellow teammates, I respectfully offer my nomination for RAX Social Media Officer. I believe I am qualified for this position given my strong passion for and long commitment to running, prior committee role, skills in visual editing, drawing, and graphic design, and goals to foster RAX community and friendship.

First, I am a seasoned athlete who has seen and run nearly all–2024 marks my 10th consecutive year of competitive running, giving me the chance to race every distance between 200m and 21.1 km. Running is undoubtedly my favourite pastime, changing my life for the better and enabling me to pass on my love for the sport as a continual reward.

Furthermore, while serving as RAX’s This Girl Can Officer this year, I believe I have proven myself to be dedicated, enthusiastic, and dependable–always prioritising the team’s interests. I am committed to serving RAX in several capacities- as a volunteer, leader, and first and foremost, teammate.

Finally, as Social Media Officer, I hope to revive and manage upkeep of the club’s disused website; devise engaging, original, and fun posts, and publish a complete and visually appealing newsletter. Prior and current experience in art and graphic design as visual editor/illustrator should serve me well to manage RAX’s online presence.

I thus see this opportunity as an extension of my prior work, the chance to combine two of my long-time loves–art and running–and most importantly, an honour to serve my teammates and wider UCL community.
