As the former social secretary of the physics society, I have gained a deep understanding of the needs and concerns of the members. Through my interactions with them, I have recognized the importance of providing support and guidance, particularly during challenging times. Therefore, I am putting myself forward as a candidate for the position of welfare officer of the physics society. This role would enable me to utilize my skills and experience to assist members. My goal would be to establish a safe and inclusive environment where members feel comfortable seeking help and advice. By assuming the role of a welfare officer, I believe I can make a positive impact on the activities of the members and contribute to their overall well-being. I am enthusiastic about this cause and hope to receive the support of the members to fulfil this role to the best of my abilities.

One of my greatest passions is caring for others' wellbeing, and making sure people feel safe and heard. I am very aware of the toll that University can take on someone's mental health and if I am elected Welfare Officer I will make sure to pass on students' concerns to the team for Student Support and Wellbeing in order to create a amore accommodating environment for everyone.
