Muay Thai Club: Treasurer

Muay Thai has been a big part of my life since I was 15. Due to circumstances, I took a two year break, but it was the UCL Muay Thai club that brought back my love for the sport. Now, I want to take the opportunity to give back to the society that helped me rediscover not only my passion for the sport, but the invaluable camaraderie that comes along with it.

I believe the position of treasurer is the best way for me to take a more active role in this community. Due to my elective finance modules as an engineering student, I am very familiar with financial reporting. As such, I am well equipped to use such skills to make informed decisions related to budgeting and operational expenses. One aspect that I will prioritise is devising an additional source of income aside from membership that can be used for the benefit of the society, providing the funding for higher quality equipment and creating more opportunities for fun events. I really enjoyed participating in the interclub events this year, and I will help make them more accessible and fun for everyone!
