I am Janice, current Year 2 undergraduate majoring in Pharmacy. Studying a degree in life science, I am particularly aware of the health inequalities & medical shortages developing countries face, and the importance of global health. After participating as a volunteer this year in the MEDLIFE x ZFW volunteering aiming to reduce food waste, I believe that MEDLIFE's values firmly aligns with that of my own to promote Medicine, Education and Development globally, especially for low-income audiences. Hence, I feel that MEDLIFE would be a great place to channel my passion for volunteering & advocating for global health.

In the past year, I have been a part of the UCL Pharmalliance team & UCL Public Affairs & Social Service(UCLPASS) committee, where I was the secretary. My past experiences with organising activities in the 2 teams, ranging from panel talks to major inter-uni fundraising events, have equipped me with transferrable skills such as collaboration, communication, and organisational skills which I believe are must-haves for the role of secretary. Should I be successfully elected, I shall fully utilise these skills to work closely with the other committee members, to organise more immersive & diverse volunteering opportunities for you all.

As a secretary, I hope to conduct internal administration, adopt responsibilities with HR & public relations when needed to ensure the effective running of the society, and most importantly, have fun volunteering with you all!
