Hii I'm Helen. Playing mahjong with my family and friends has always been a part of my childhood, especially for special occasions. Creating memorable moments with mahjong is something I hope to share with you all as President or Vice President.

Despite only recently joining the committee as Publicity Officer this year, I have seen the gradual transition of the society from an exclusive to a more international-oriented one, and have enjoyed attending the socials whilst making many new friends. Working with the committee, I have learnt how the society operates and what it takes to work towards the promotion of our culture. As some of you may know, I may not the best player at the table. But with my organisation and communication skills, I believe I can lead the society to the best of my abilities. As President or Vice President next year, I hope to do the following:

- Regular socials so all students have the opportunity to learn and play mahjong in a comfortable, inclusive and fun environment

- Intend to purchase more mahjong sets and provide snacks and drinks at the mahjong socials

- Organising Interuni competitions. In terms of events, I hope to collaborate with more societies at UCL to promote the game to a wider audience, such as our collaboration with Bubble Tea Society

- Keen to introduce mahjong merchandise, such as stickers and tote bags. This is a new idea that I would like to explore with the society next year

Thank You for reading my manifesto!
