Zoe Gong

Hey everyone, my name is Zoe, a keyboardist who loves to play in live bands and jams. After performing in Rhapsody, I got to realize how powerful music is to put people together (do you like music?), and to me, playing and performing in live bands is definitely a great opportunity to communicate using music. As a member and player in plenty of live music bands this year, I would love to try a more leading role next year. This motivates me to apply for this position as the house band director. I am passionate to play a role that connects all great musicians together to produce more iconic performances of live music. I also accumulated a lot of band experience this year (blooms shows like rhapsody and 9to5, jazz small show, etc), so I believe I will be dedicated and capable of managing and directing house bands. So please vote for me :) !

Kejing Wang

Hey guys my name is Kejing Wang. I’m currently in my first year of BSc Anthropology while also being a bassist and a beginner guitarist. Generally speaking I’m interested in genres like alternative rock and post-punk, but I am also a big fan of some hard rock, metal and experimental bands. I’ve joined bands across different genres and participated in music-related activities since grade 7, so I have some experience on rehearsal management, auditions and communication. This nomination of house band director is a great opportunity for me to explore the path to music related career and interacting with talented people with shared interests. It would be very inspiring to join the community of UCL Live Music society as I am looking forward to support the house band as much I could for some groovy gigs!

Andreas Yu

Since the first day of uni, I have been fascinated by the LM society's performance in the main quad and dreamed of becoming a member. The house band and function band auditions will find the best players in society to form the band and perform for various events and activities within the society. I have been a member of the house band for two years, and my experience in different bands allows me to understand how to manage various bands. I have been passionate about music for a long time. In high school, I began to form my band and lead the rehearsals. Having the experience, I could tune the bands to have an excellent sound that allows them to deliver their best performances. I also have experience in directing large-scale music festivals. Bands may perform in different genres, so it is vital to understand how to arrange different bands. Also, individuals may have different instrument playing styles, and I will be able to find the most suitable arrangement for each player. I am highly organized, efficient, friendly and outgoing. My skill set and experience fit the requirements of the house band director. I am seeking a new opportunity to apply my skills to the LM society and to make the house band excellent.
