Lumi S Farmer

As someone who has been an influencer for 5 years, I am familiar with creating engaging posts for promotions. I have experience under one of the UK's top agencies for influencing. Here I learnt tools to maximise engagement for any set briefs from social media to blog posts. Therefore, I believe that my knowledge for marketing and advertising will transfer easily into this role. I understand the importance of quick communication and organisation needed for this role, and see my ability to manage multiple projects at once to be effortless.

I believe that I can use innovate techniques to represent Japan society to all students at UCL, and through my experience, I know that I am a well organised candidate for this role.

Thank you for reading, Lumi :)

Chiharu Mou

Hi, I’m Chiharu, a first-year student. I am Chinese and I have lived in Japan for 14 years.

I am running for Marketing Director because I was fascinated by the design of the JSOC Instagram page. Marketing is a significant role to respond to the members' needs, so I would like to engage in this role to advertise Japan society to a broader variety of people.

As a sub-committee member, I observed the marketing strategy and I would like to improve this in these ways:

  • Post the information one week before the event
  • Create Japanese Society’s goods with our original design
  • Create a themed Instagram feed and provide clear-cut information

Skills:

  • Design skills: I have designed merch for high-school classes.
  • Advertising skills: I created Social media posts and advertising content for the volunteer society on Instagram.

Ideas:

  • Create Japan society’s original notes or pen
  • Committee member’s Q&A story session to learn more about committee members
  • Questionnaire(feedback) session on the story to create committees-members interaction
