Hi! I would love to be the president for the 'In Aid of UNICEF' society.

I have really enjoyed being the social secretary on the committee this past year. Not only was I able to participate in fundraising opportunities and learn more about the volunteering sector, but I was also able to make great friends who all have a similar passion to me for raising awareness and helping people in any way that we can! I would love to gain a better understanding and facilitate events that you would be interested in- be it educational/careers talks, question-answer sessions or even mixers with alumni and other students interested in volunteering. I would also be enthusiastic to refine our newsletter, including not only a description of past and upcoming events but also helpful resources, professionals you can contact and engaging news articles/ research. Additionally, I will focus on building partnerships with other societies and organizations at UCL and beyond to amplify our impact and reach even more people.

Since I was charity and community services captain at my sixth form I believe I would be able to use my experience to help organise and promote large-scale events for you to attend. Growing up in India for most of my life I have had the opportunity to help underprivileged children firsthand. These experiences have inspired me to understand how the charity sector works at a larger scale and understand what I can do to inspire others.

Thank you!! :)
