Sushant Mishra

Being the President of an academic society would be a great experience. Not only will the role help me develop leadership and management skills but also teach me how a society in UCL works. Reporting to the Student's Union is something that comes with a lot of responsibility and I feel like I can handle it! Moreover, I want to experience what it is like to represent the Department and the Society.

Heizo Matsutani

My name is Heizo (My English name is Michael), and I am a second-year Earth Sciences student. Currently, I am the social secretary for Greenough, and I have been organising various social events this academic year for the society. I am standing as a candidate for the President of the Greenough Society as I would like to make Greenough an even better society.

By being the Greenough President, I would continue the things that are done in this society. Furthermore, I would like to work on the following areas:

Increasing the number of members

Increasing turnout rate for events

More membership benefits

Various events and opportunities that cater for Earth Science students

Organising career-oriented sessions

Organising large-scale events

Joint events with various clubs and societies at UCL

Creating opportunities where students can provide feedback and suggestions for Greenough

If I am successfully elected as the Greenough President, I would like to make sure that Greenough Society maintains the welcoming atmosphere that it has and further develop what it has now.
