As this year’s Welfare Officer, I hope to continue to build on what has been achieved and strive for more next year to ensure Giving Voice remains an inclusive and welcoming space for all students!

Giving Voice has done a fantastic job in raising awareness for Speech and Language Therapy as well as the difference it can make in other people's lives, but it also provides a platform for students to support and learn from each other. I aim to maximise this, ensuring that all students from all backgrounds feel included, and most of all feel at home as members of Giving Voice.

I strongly believe that the mental health and well-being of students are of the utmost importance and with my experience as a qualified mental health first aider, I believe that I am qualified to deliver the support required help to my fellow students.

This year as Welfare Officer I hosted events (such as SLTea and Chat) and also assisted in planning other GV events. I hope to have the opportunity to run further events in the coming year if I am elected Welfare Officer.

UCL consists of such a diverse community, and I will do my best to ensure everyone feels included, supported, and able to make the most of their university experience!
