Football Club (Women's): President

Hi there ! For anyone who doesn’t know me my name is Grace and I am part of the 2s squad. I joined the club in September and even the short amount of time I’ve been in the club has been such an amazing experience. From meeting all the girls across all teams, to the super fun socials, training sessions and matches. I believe that football can provide such valuable skills for players on and off the pitch. This is why I am so grateful that my parents decided to sign me up to play football from a young age. Seeing how much effort this years committee has put into the club has inspired me to want to join. This is why I have nominated myself for the president position. I would like to be president because being a part of UCLWFC this year has helped me massively while settling into uni and so I would like to help make the club is a great place for members next year. I want to work closely with all the committee to keep the club running smoothly with consistent games and trainings and to think of new fun ideas to ensure that every member has a positive experience! If successful some of my top priorities would be-

- Maintaining the clubs charitable ethos by using socials and creating new ways to raise money.

- Keeping the the Families idea run by the welfare secs. 

- Organising club trips 

- Volunteering opportunities to work with younger girls in the community to inspire young players.

- Thinking of ideas to promote women’s football for example This Girl Can and Give it a Go.
