After thoroughly enjoying my time as Executive of Outreach in FinTech Society, becoming VP of Outreach appears to be the next logical step.

I have been responsible for co-managing a start-up event with Pareto Economics and Adakas, including building a relationship with the CEO of Pareto Economics and being offered an internship on the back of it.

Currently, I am managing a team of two to create a week of talks, packaged as DIF: Diversity in FinTech. Promoting opportunities for women and BAME individuals in finance is integral to FinTech Society.

Next year, I endeavour to:

  • Firstly, continue reaching out to executives of FTSE 100 companies and putting on talks for the members of FinTech Society.
  • Start a new project to connect schools with UCL and FinTech companies. We will provide coding and finance lessons - taught by UCL’s very own - to children with a passion to work in FinTech.
  • Penultimately, continue with projects like DIF and SWIT to continue advancing women and BAME representation in the financial technology sector.
  • Finally, we are working on attracting new members to achieve exceptional year-on-year member growth that makes us Europe’s Largest FinTech Society.

I will continue outreaching to all London universities to ensure the highest quality events for our members. If this is what you want from the Outreach department of FinTech Society, then please vote for me.

Thank you,

Saket Chadalavada.

Executive of Outreach for UCL FinTech Society

Robbie Morris

As a technology correspondent for the Finance and Technology Review Journal, I have gained invaluable experience in the FinTech industry and developed a passion for exploring the latest trends and innovations. This experience has inspired me to run for Vice President of Outreach for the Fintech Society.

My goal as Vice President of Outreach is to expand the reach and impact of the Fintech Society. I plan to achieve this by both establishing new partnerships and maintaining old ones with other fintech societies and companies both domestically and internationally. Through these partnerships, we can collaborate on events, share knowledge and resources, and ultimately create a stronger fintech community. My experiences working as a correspondent in FTR have taught me about the importance of communication and the power of a good feedback loop. These experiences have made me more punctual, organised, and succinct, qualities necessary to be a strong outreach officer.

As Vice President of Outreach, I will work tirelessly to expand the reach and impact of the Fintech Society. With my experience as a technology correspondent and my passion for fintech, I am confident that I can make a valuable contribution to the society and help it achieve its goals.
