Mariia Karpova

I have been a member of EBS for the past 2 years and now wish to spearhead the society. I hope to take it onto a new level.

Aruzhan Mominbayeva

My main motivation is to upgrade the EBS society, which I believe can be done by implementing the following steps.

- First of all, I would make EBS an international platform for growth as students and professionals in future. I would organize fun activities, schedule weekly lunch and reserve group rooms in Student Centre to study together after classes. I think such approach will allow students to spend more time in relaxed atmosphere so we all could chill and socialize more. Let's not forget that all the connections we make right now will be helpful after graduation: university ends, but friendship lasts for years.

- Second of all, I would suggest to focus on the business element. It may be joining the entrepreneurship competitions held by UCL, attending internships, anything that could help improving skills and brighten the CV. This step will make society competitive, encourage students to support each other as team and even help students to analyze their prospective projects.

- Third of all, it is important to use all the potential of inviting respectful and strong speakers such as Sergei Guriev, whose speech I attended myself. It is crucial to carry such events in order to expand the horizons and present students exceptional people. We shall provide students opportunity to ask questions and have small talk. It will also prove students that these professionals are real people, so if they could reach heights - we can too.
