Hi, my name is Ingrid Chan, and I am an International Social and Political Studies first year student. I am running for Head of Research because of my interest in raising awareness for and making ESG accessible for all students, as well as prior experience with journal and editing roles.
I am currently an editor for the ESG Journal, helping review articles on ESG developments around the world. In addition, I am also the political columnist for the EISPS society, writing about climate justice and social issues. These experiences strengthened my research, writing, and editing skills, as well as demonstrates my ability to work on a tight schedule and communicate effectively with others. With my strong organisational and teamwork skills, I believe that I will be a capable Head of Research.
In addition, I am a creative and adaptable leader – having been in charge of my school magazine and organised fundraising events, I am excellent at coming up with new ideas as well as delegating tasks to other individuals. I have several suggestions for promoting the journal to a wider audience, including subsections (e.g. case studies, reactions to company press releases, what the audience can do etc.) to engage different types of readers, and to collaborate with other journals/societies that are also interested in ESG (e.g. Diplomacy society and general climate change discourse).
Vote for me as your Head of Research for an informative, engaging and farther-reaching ESG Journal!
