Chrysa Dimopoulou

As a geography student, I believe ESG is a crucial element for the future of the business world. This summer, I will be completing an ESG analyst course to further my own knowledge of the sector, and hopefully, acquire the ability to incorporate it into this role.

This ever-growing concept allows companies to make a positive impact, as well as get ahead of future environmental regulations. I want to see its influence grow through the university and the wider world, as we build a more sustainable future. I strongly believe this society has the potential to appeal to students from various degree backgrounds and give them the knowledge and passion to take ESG in their future sectors of employment.

If I were to be elected for this role, I would ensure a vibrant social media presence for ESG, as well as numerous on-campus events. As an eco-rep for my school, I was able to raise awareness and make changes on multiple environmental issues in our community through active advertising and negotiations with superiors. Through my completion of a Marketing Manager course, I believe through effective audience targeting and event hosting, we can increase the reach of ESG at UCL. I would strongly promote to students ESG's appeal and relevance to employers, especially in investment divisions. Having led my school's Young Enterprise team, I am confident to exercise leadership and organisation qualities which are necessary as a committee member and in delegating an active online presence.
