Hahn L Lam
Hi everyone, my name is Hahn, and I'm running to be your welfare officer for the upcoming academic year!
Being a part of the engineering society over the past three years has been an amazing experience - I'm incredibly grateful for the people I've met, the lessons I've learned, and the memories made whilst serving on the committee. Having served as the Head of Events and Vice president of UCLES over the past two years, I'd love to be able to continue to lead the society in a new capacity as your welfare officer.
My goals for the year are as follows:
1. Host well-being and mental health events to ensure students receive adequate mental health support.
2. Lead new outreach programs to support local secondary schools to incentivize students to study STEM subjects at university
3. Host regular socials and inter-society events alongside the head of events to strengthen interdepartmental connections.
4. Revise and develop the engineering coalition mentorship program using lessons learned from this year.
It's been an absolute pleasure to work at the engineering society, and I'd love to have the opportunity to end my university journey here as well. If you feel that I'm the right person for the job, I'd appreciate your vote!
