Having been enticed to join this society after hearing the good tunes at the fresher's fair, it's fair to say that this society knows how to pull off a great night! This is why I would absolutely love to contribute more towards the continuing success of our society, whilst continually striving to improve our inclusivity and diversity.

There has never been a night I wish I had not gone to and ultimately I want to look for more opportunities in which the electronic music lovers of UCL can come together and leave a night feeling the same as I do.

Having seen all the handwork that goes into the smooth running of various events, I would be super excited to continue this society on its upward path in the near future.

Hopefully, see you all on the dance floor very soon!

Tats :)

As this year comes to a close I'd like to reflect on what has changed since I have been head of events. Phineas open decks has now become a regular occurence, and has been great for sourcing new talent and giving new members the opportunity to experience playing in front of a crowd - gaining confidence to eventually step up to a club environment. Pub socials have also been regular, with Sevilla Mia being a fun bonus. I feel this year there has been a large step up from the previous in terms of social inclusivity, with many more people actively engaging within the society, and I will make sure this only improves.

So what am I going to improve upon next year?

Club events can sometimes feel quite monotone when they are low in production value, with every event feeling similar. I've recently been working on audio reactive visuals and am hoping to incorporate these within every EMS event, with light panels, projections, and much more. In adding this new dimension of experience to these events I aim to take EMS to a far higher level that will benefit everyone.

Next year is incredibly exciting for us, with lots of opportunity for change within both the events that we run and how we operate and curate them. With a lot of experience under my belt having been in the committee for two years, I hope this can be extended so I can continue to improve, and organise even more fun and engaging events.

Thank you for your consideration,

hope to see you all next year!

Robin
