Dance Society: Tech Officer

Hello all I’m Kayley, a first-year pharmacy student who loves dancing hip hop and street. Dancing in regular classes and Triple Bill was a big part of my uni life and it gave me loads of joy. I made friends with so many fun people and it provided me a sense of belonging. Thus, I would like to give back to this supportive community by taking up a role I am capable of.

Experience:

• 5 years of editing experience. I was the main video editor for a non-profit organization, produced over 20 episodes of educative content.
• Experienced in managing an active YouTube brand channel. I was responsible for scheduling and drafting weekly uploads for the non-profit organization. The online series I created generated 1.7k views in its first appearance.
• Experienced in managing websites. I have used simple webpages and blogs to showcase my personal portfolios.
• Passionate about photography. Despite not experienced in filming using expensive gear, I believe the transferable skills from photography will allow me to learn quickly and be able to yield high quality videos for our dance shows.

As a tech officer, I promise to maintain the quality in video productions. I will also give our website a refreshed look with up-to-date information and new pictures from this year’s shows. I am excited to showcase my tech skills and I can’t wait to get even more involved next year!
