Cricket Club (Women's): Treasurer

Hi everyone! My name is Juliana and I am interested in running for Treasurer for UCLWCC.

I have a background in leadership roles as I was prefect in secondary school and sixth form, and within UCLWCC, I have been in the general secretary role for 2022/23. Due to my passion for cricket and UCLWCC, I am still interested in supporting UCLWCC by serving on the committee, and despite enjoying my current role, the position of treasurer is more aligned with my studies as I am an Economics and Business 2nd year undergraduate. Therefore, alongside taking finance modules, I can also apply the skills and experience from the accounting work I did during my internships.

My experience as a member of UCLWCC and a committee member has allowed me to fully understand the values and goals of the club which I can then apply to the role of treasure that involves secretarial work and overseeing the financial aspects of the club. As general secretary, I previously supported with sponsorships and grants for the club so this role will allow me to spearhead this in order to support with funding for the club.

My main objective will be ensuring that UCLWCC continues to build upon its strong relationships with sponsors and fellow UCL societies as well as introduce new opportunities for the club as it is already growing despite only being formally established for a year. This would enable us to increase awareness towards women's cricket and help the club achieve its objectives.
