Shagun Shrivastava

Hello! My name is Shagun and I am running for the position of VP of External Relations and Events at Consulting Society. Through my involvement with the society, I have attended numerous events and have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that the society has on students. As one of the first societies I joined at UCL, it has allowed me to develop essential consulting skills while expanding my professional network and learning from some of the brightest minds.

As the current treasurer of UCL FFFB society, I have gained valuable experience in event planning, budget management, and speaker outreach. Additionally, my experience as the President of the Economics Club in high school has further equipped me with the skills necessary to fulfill the duties as the VP of external relations and events .

If elected, I plan to host a diverse range of events, including socials, alumni networking events, skill development workshops, case study events, inter-university competitions guest lectures etc. My goal is to provide members with a variety of opportunities to connect, learn and grow.

As a culmination of my interests in event planning and consulting, I believe I am an ideal candidate for the position of VP of External Relations and Events at the Consulting Society. Thank you for considering my candidacy:)

Thomas Chan

Hi, I am Thomas, running for the VP of External Relations and Event position. As a first-year representative of the society, I have gained a better understanding of the society's operation and am eager to bring more events to our society.

As a project leader, I have been involved in an interview project involving more than 200 people for my alma mater's anniversary exhibition for the last 4 years. I have gained hands-on experience in external liaison, event organising, and teamwork collaboration.

This year, the society has organised different in-person network events and case study competitions, fostering students' understanding of this career. On top of these events, I hope we can go even further. My plans as VP of External Relations & Events:

1) Aim to increase collaboration with different societies within the university and even with other London universities (LSE, ICL and KCL). With more external collaborations, we can hold joint events and expose students to more professionals across the industry.

2) To cater to international students' needs, aim to hold network events with consultants in other countries such as the Middle East and Asian Pacific regions (Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China). This can give students more understanding of the consulting operation in other areas, helping them plan their careers better after graduation.

3) Organise social and network events with firms to give students more profound insights into the industry's daily operations
