I must be a variable because I know you can't stop thinking about assigning me into presidency.

Mohammed Fahad Tabrez Sheikh

I am a first-year computer science student, while I do not have direct leadership experience, I believe that my passion for computer science make me an ideal candidate for this position. My goal as president would be to create a society that truly caters to the needs and interests of its members and I understand that the members of the CSS come from diverse backgrounds and have different interests and goals related to computer science, I would work to ensure that our events reflect this diversity and cater to a wide range of interests. some possible initiatives are :

  • Hosting technical workshops and coding sessions that cover a variety of topics and skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
  • Organizing social events and networking opportunities that allow members to connect with one another and build relationships within the community.
  • Providing resources and support for students who are pursuing research or independent projects in computer science.
  • Collaborating with other organizations and companies in the tech industry to offer opportunities for members to learn about different career paths and gain valuable industry experience.

I would prioritize communication with our members and seek feedback regularly to ensure that we are meeting their needs and interests. I believe that by working together and leveraging the strengths and passions of our members, we can create a supportive community that helps us all succeed in all our pursuits.

Mert Albeyoglu

I am running for the president of the CSS because I not only want to create change in my community, but lead it. Ever since I received my offer to study computer science at UCL this summer, I have organised meet-ups and events for CSS.

Through the year, I was fortunate enough to be selected as the First-Year Representative. I have gained valuable experience by helping plan and organise career events, socials, and a Hackathon. Recently, acting on feedback, I organised our speaker event with a technology startup. These projects allowed me to develop my communication and leadership skills. Currently, I am actively working on projects tailored towards our community. I believe that my involvement with the society has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel as a President.

It has been a pleasure to be part of CSS and to give back to the community that I am proud to be a part of. We have created a positive change in our community and I would like to continue that legacy by enshrining the prominent role of our society amongst the students in the CS department while expanding our outreach to the entire UCL community. My vision for next year is for our society to create an environment that fosters growth and provides support for its members. I would be honoured to serve as the President of the Computer Science Society for the upcoming year.

Wonjun Lee

The Computer Science Society is a large cohort - you could meet the new Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, or Sam Bankman-Fried. Through networking events and socials, I will ensure that you will connect with brilliant people who may, in the future, very well feature in the media.

Edgar Tsang

Is the Computer Science Society a git repository?

Because I'd like to commit to you.

Aadhavan Mamallan

Being the president of CSS requires someone who is able to balance the disgusting workload of CS (or dare I say Math Comp) with the responsibility of arranging socials, hackathons, talks from speakers and just keeping the society on its feet. I reckon I could do this, as someone who has consistently displayed academic weapon type behaviour whilst regularly taking part in 4 societies. I would also prioritise having more social events such as a CS Balls, Movie nights and even club nights, because we do deserve the occasional break from trying to get code to compile.
