Climate Action Society: Events Officer

As a geography student with a deep interest in the debates around climate change and the concept of intersectionality, the work done by the climate action society perfectly aligns with what I value. Having had the chance to intern at the Association of Women for Action and Research (Singapore's leading gender rights advocacy group) as the event secretary, I have witnessed the power of community engagement in bringing passionate like-minded individuals together to contemplate pertinent issues. Events can inspire great change- it can not only raise awareness and garner support, but can also kick-start long-term initiatives. Equipped with the experiences I have gained from the internship, I would love to contribute to the Climate Action Society, a society that represents the values I hold close to my heart.
