For the past two years, I have been part of this CSSA family and grown from a member to the vice-minister of the Liaison department. It’s an amazing place where provides the opportunity for me to connect with other marvelous members from different backgrounds. During this period, I successfully cooperated with more than ten businesses on activities both in London and China. The communication skill that I have learned and the commercial experiences will support me with a better capability to stand the welfare officer.
Hi! My name is Lingjun Chu (Sherry), and I am a third-year student at UCL studying Psychology with Education. I’m also an offer holder of MSc Clinical Mental Health program at UCL.
From the three-year learning of psychology, I find myself super fit into the job of Welfare Officer. I have the empathy, passion, ability and most importantly - practical skills to help people in need. Thanks to the courses and the volunteer program that helps autistic children, I clearly know how to support people who are suffering from mental problems or simply struggling with study, work or daily life.
Furthermore, the experience of being the head of IT Application provided me with a chance to practice my communication skills, problem-solving abilities and leadership. I believe I can perform my duties well, try my best to help everyone in need, and enjoy another year in UCLCSSA.
