Anusha Aggarwal

Hi everyone! My name is Anusha, and I am Politics and International Relations student, running to be your Events and Welfare Vice President.

As one of this years' First Year Reps, I have helped run events such as DECA and the IIC, just two examples of the many events that take place with Business Society. Events are a vital part of BizSoc, as they create exposure to the different opportunities the society has to offer. As your Events and Welfare VP, I would do this role justice to my best ability. As FYR, I have observed how well organised and varied BizSoc's events are. With your votes, I will strive to maintain this work, as well as add new and fresh events to the society.

My vision:

  • More events in collaboration with societies within and external to the guild, in order to diversify the range of events available. This would also some networking events, where members have the opportunity to meet experts in the field.
  • Increase the amount the society does to help its members with the various types of applications, including interview prep, CV and Case Study workshops.
  • Ensure a keen focus on flagship event DECA, in order to run smoothly and successfully.
  • Introduce a range of social events for the society throughout the year, for members to meet in a relaxed environment.

I truly understand the importance of these events. As your Events and Welfare VP, I promise to listen to members of the society, and provide a plethora of opportunity through events.
Khadija Metwally

The Business Society is an influential and interactive society that mimics the corporate structure of the real-world. The experience this society provides is beneficial for any student like me interested within this field, and if given the chance as the Events Vice President and Welfare Officer, I will help ensure this year's accomplishments surpass those of past years.

Since joining at the beginning of the academic year, I have been active in keeping up with the society's events and social media publications. Despite facing personal issues that forced me to leave London for a while, I have been a dedicated and engaged member of the Business Society, and I strongly believe that I can bring a lot of value to the society as its Events VP and Welfare Officer.

In terms of my qualifications, I have extensive leadership experience that has prepared me well for this role. As President of Student Council for three years, as well as MUN Events Coordinator and International Court of Justice Vice President for two years, I have learned how to manage social and corporate based events, which require marketing strategies and cost-efficient management to create strong relationships with stakeholders, and create an environment that fosters collaboration and success.

With my dedication and interest in what this society offers, I will aim to work closely with the executive committee to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that empowers all members to achieve their full potential.
