Making reporting easier+offering support for anyone who needs it (and those who don’t). Having been on ‘big rums’ as Welfare VP, I want to use the skills, experience and contacts with SU, Casework and ULMS I’ve picked up over the years to help us as a big happy (safe) club
Making RUMSBC the most inclusive of BCs. Hoping to be constant besties with Pres, Treas and Welfare officer to elevate the position of inclusivity officer and MOST IMPORTANTLY being a friendly face with tea and biscuits xxx
Make the boathouse a safer space. With a contact at UL, involve colleges in conversations ongoing re issues like prayer spaces, changing room culture and diversifying. I’ve already begun to make this happen!
Work for more inclusive kit. Especially with (potensh) fundraisers Bea+Anam. Comfortable and happy rowers = faster boats = more medals. What is not to love?!
More meaningful participation in pride. Don’t get me wrong, rainbow laces are sexy, but what ELSE can we do that encourages people of all different sexualities/identities to get involved? Hoping to do lots of collab w other universities/organisations (shoutout to otters!)
Better integration of novices. as a 3rd year novice, I was confusion. VPs? Feet to UCL? Mince pies? Why are seniors/novices like two separate clubs sometimes? Let’s turn into ONE CLUB with happy vibes and fewer novice dropouts early on.
