Sam V Jencks

After playing for the 3rd team for the past year, I have been able to gain an understanding of the team dynamic and what makes a successful team. I understand what it takes to get those selected involved in training and fixtures, as well as getting players involved in team socials. I want to be apart and help build a culture of playing and training hard, whilst also getting those involved more in social events and sports night.

I understand the commitment and planning required as a captain, as well as how to build relationships with the players.

For these reasons I believe I would make a great 3rds team captain

Jasper Kennett

Hi, my name is Jasper Kennett. Following a great year with the 3rd team in 2021/2022 I left London to do a year abroad at UChicago, which is why I may not have had the chance to meet you all. However, my love for basketball and appreciation for this great club hasn’t faded.

After battling through 1v1s, pickup 5s, and intramural league, in the cold unforgiving streets of Chicago, I am ready to lead this team towards regular and post-season success. I have spent my time in America practicing my game and learning plays for next season.

There is no one I’d rather run alongside than with Pietro, a fellow year abroad ex-third-team player. Based on our knowledge of the club and the game of basketball we will make sure to bring our best to the role of student coaches; with a strong focus on building a cohesive playbook, raising the skill level of every player, and improving the team’s basketball IQ.

Lastly, we’ll make sure this is a fun team with a friendly culture and aim to provide as many high effort social opportunities as possible.

I’d appreciate your vote and won’t let you down. See you at Phineas.
