Nicole Khaimson

I love BASc and our community, and I have a lot I can contribute to it. Having experienced all of the BASc events as a first year, I feel like I have a fresh perspective on what we enjoyed the most and what could have been improved. That would be my goal as the VP of the committee: continue bringing events that allow our course to have fun and connect outside of lectures, and also make sure there is plenty of support for our future internship and job searches.

I also believe we can put a greater emphasis on supporting a charity of our choice through some of these events, to make the whole experience that much more impactful.

Nyree Marsh

Hi!! My name is Nyree and I am running to be Vice President for BASc Society!!

I thoroughly enjoy being a BAScer and I know my university experience would not be as good as it is if I wasn't studying this degree!! I would love to be a part of the committee because the idea of being able to actively participate in the development of my degree community truly appeals to me.

Much in the same way that I could not pick one subject to study, I could not pick a specific job I wanted to do, as such being VP is the best role for me as I would get to chip in with everything!! I'm a good team member and would help support all other committee members in their endeavours in order for the smooth running of events. I have previous experience being house secretary at school, as well as social media managing for a UCL society, therefore I have the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully work in a team, helping in areas such as marketing and event organisation.

I love socialising and am super approachable, which I think are super important characteristics for a leadership position. As such I believe I would be a suitable candidate for this role :)

Carlos E Rangel Outeda

I would like to have the ability to directly influence what happens in BASc - it's all about having a voice. I'd be more vocal and involved in obtaining the thoughts of all members in BASc, across year groups and Majors.

Creating the sense of BASc community is key, since we are so spread out across the university. The events so far have been great, but I would try to do more casual events, at more timings, giving students more opportunities to meet other BAScers.

I'm a vocal person, and am prepared to speak my mind in a diplomatic manner. Because of this, I would take complaints, comments, or suggestions from the BASc community to the BASc department without hesitation, and try to have a productive discussion that brings about a fruitful conclusion.

I am not new to leadership positions in clubs, so previous experiences as Co-leaders of clubs have helped develop my organisational, teamwork, and logistical skills, which will be of great use in this position.

I think things through, and when I commit to something, I commit fully. You can count on me to give this position the attention and effort it deserves.
