Migle Jauniskyte
Hi, everyone! My name is Miglė – I'm a BASc: Sciences and Engineering student who is fascinated by AI and its connections to other subjects. As a First Year Rep for the AI society this year, I’ve loved being a part of this community which made me feel so included and welcomed in every single aspect. I would love to make sure that you feel here like that too, as your Welfare Officer.
My main priorities are to:
- Be the first person you can contact if you have concerns for your or others’ mental or physical well-being in society.
- Create a welcoming experience for every society member, including being there for you during the events and activities if you ever feel overwhelmed.
- Improve the feedback system to hear everyone out and improve the experience for society’s members.
- Explore the connections between AI and one's well-being, perhaps in form of discussions or events.
During this year, I was able to get to know many society members, help organize the events and understand how the society works from the inside. Together with my previous experience of leading student clubs and holding volunteering positions, I believe I could now efficiently solve any arising problems and provide equal opportunities for everyone in society as your Welfare Officer.
