I am running to be the Vice President of the 93% Club because I have a great knowledge of the club and how it works due to my role last year, as Welfare and Communications Officer. Last year, I played an integral part in keeping the Club up and running, by getting the word out there and ensuring essential committee positions were filled.

Over the past academic year, I have helped arrange various successful socials. These have been a key part of our society because they have really helped to give our members a sense that they are part of a community, which is a core component of the 93% society. On top of this, I have liaised with the other 93% Clubs and kept relations up, including attending events for the national 93% committee.

My goals for next year would include expanding the club further, continuing to be a friendly face for our members on campus and at the socials! Alongside this, as Vice President I would be in a great position to offer solid support to our President, as I have committee experience.

I am extremely keen to organise more career orientated socials next year, including CV workshops and mock-interviews. I am already on my way to achieving this, having established relations with UCL's 'Career Extra' programme, with a goal of organising some joint events!

Vote for me for Vice President! Can't wait to see what we can achieve next year! :)

Hi everyone! :)

I am standing as Vice President as I would love to be part of a society that is essential at a university like UCL. After growing up in Northern state schools being taught by supply teachers in classrooms covered in black mould, moving to such an ‘elite’ university with an Access UCL offer can feel incredibly isolating.

I hope we can encourage more students to join the 93% Club through social events, social mobility workshops, & forming connections between members and various career sectors. I hope our efforts will empower UCL state schoolers & help them access opportunities that often seem exclusive to private schoolers.

I would love to be part of this lovely committee because it has been incredibly reassuring and refreshing to meet friendly & like-minded people who want to make UCL a more viable option for students (like me!) who didn't grow up surrounded by established networks and have been discouraged by friends, family, & even teachers from studying at UCL.

After helping current students at my sixth form who did not even consider UCL due to their socioeconomic backgrounds, I hope to bring university-wide awareness to this issue that prevents so many state schoolers from studying at UCL.

Therefore, as Vice President, I hope our events (& efforts!) can help to level the playing field & make us state schoolers feel more comfortable and confident during our time at UCL and in our futures!

Thank you so much for reading! <3
