Urban Farmers Society: President

Hi I'm Yi Xi! I'm a first year Geography student who loves farming and the idea of growing our own food while creating a lovely garden for wildlife to thrive. Ever since joining Bentham's farm I have been coming to the farm almost every week because I really love the sense of community here! Plus it's really therapeutic getting our hands dirty :)

I hope to expand the farm (let's encroach on the tennis court!), adopt permaculture and square-foot gardening methods, and potentially work with UCL on their idea of an 'edible campus'. I will also look to organise some trips to farms around London! On the more practical side of things, I have also interned and stayed on a veggie farm in Singapore so I have some experience with growing food and built a few greenhouses (including the one in the pic). Let us continue growing food together and make Bentham's farm a more charming and loving place!
