Surf Club: Trip Secretary

Hey everyone! You might be wondering who am I and why do I have a picture of me surfing... Biggest clichê init? Well I choose it not because I was trying a handstand on the water but I choose it because this was during one of the best moments I ve been in my whole life... Maldives, Bali... no it was as trip to newquay!  I think this photo really transmitts what surfing is all about: being able to finally cutting the green or landing that manuver you were trying and really sharing these good times inside the water. These trips are always the highlights of the year, and I want you to have the same or even better experience as I did. Surfing the best cheapest spots while having a blast.

All in all, just want you guys to enjoy yourselves surfing as much as I do!

Hi, I’m Ruben a second year biology student and I have been in the surf club for the last 2 years. I am a somewhat experienced surfer who spends a lot more time than they should fantasising about where I want to surf next. I would love to do a lot more trips to more adventurous areas than we have done in the previous two years, especially considering we are coming out of travel restrictions. Places such as Morocco, Portugal, Biarritz and northern Spain and Ireland are high up on my list of places I would like surf club to go. I also believe we should be doing more national trips to places like the Gower peninsula and wave pool that cost less to make the trips more accessible, after all we are a surf club and surfing should be the highlight for everyone.
