Students for Justice in Palestine Society: Treasurer

As a passionate advocate of the Palestinian cause, I aim to use my role as treasurer to support the Liberation of Palestine on campus. The centrality of Palestine was a key part of my growing up and remains so to my religious and political identity. In order to best serve the interests of my oppressed brethren in Palestine, I hope SJP can be a vehicle for increasing awareness and advocacy. As a student of PPE I hope to use my knowledge of both political affairs and economics to act as a diligent and resourceful Treasurer for the society. Part of this includes my aim for an economic but effective use of society resources to maximise our output and presence on campus as well as in improving our pro-Palestinian activities for students. Finally, charity holds a critical position in my agenda and I hope to see it brought to the fore in my tenure through greater outreach to Palestinian charities and serving them as best as possible.
