Sri Lankan Society: Treasurer

Ayubowan/Vannakkam! My name is Niuni and I am running for treasurer for Sri Lankan society! I am currently studying Economics and Geography. My hobbies include Kandyan dancing, listening to music and playing games. As a fellow island girl, I am proud of the Sri Lankan culture and would love to bring together the community at UCL. We want to create a warm, welcoming environment for Lankans and non-Lankans!

As a treasurer, I will make sure that the finances of the society will run smoothly, so that events can be efficiently prepared for everyone to take part in! I am well organised and therefore can meet the deadlines set by the Student Union to fill out forms and other financial documents on time. I have previously worked with Excel to create profit and loss sheets to keep track of funding. I am highly motivated, enthusiastic, and always willing to put maximum effort. For the big events planned in the future, I understand the important role of being treasurer!
