Hi, I'm Zuzanna and I am currently on my second year of Architecture BSc at the Bartlett. Having discovered a passion for building in scouting, I got a bit disappointed on my course by the lack of practical contact with the real building materials. This was the reason why I got engaged with Voiz - an international student DAO for sustainability education, in which I could develop further my passion for materials through writing reviews of architectural products and learning about sustainability in the architecture business. This experience helped me to open my mind on other areas in the industry, which combine bioengineering, chemistry and computation with design.

In the SEAD I'd like to help initiate and organize events, where students like me fascinated by intersections of technical and creative disciplines can expand on their interests and learn about the opportunities out there after their studies. My ideas include getting into collabs with: Voiz, Sunseed Desert Technology - an educational project for the ecological transition and CAT - Centre for Alternative Technology (Zero Carbon Britain programme). As I am into the areas combining biosciences and computing, I plan to also get in touch with Bio-ID MA and also try to reach The Mediated Matter Group (interdisciplinary design lab at MIT).

By joining the SEAD committee I hope to bring more opportunities for students to expand on their interests that sit outside the frames of their courses.
