Election post
University (especially as a first-year student) can be demanding, but through my position as a first-year representative at UCLES, I've discovered an inclusive and welcoming community that I'd like to endorse by taking on the Welfare Officer position.
With this, I aim to use my experience of being a member of previous mentorship programmes to tailor and enhance the Engineering Coalition Mentorship programme. Furthermore, I'd like to strengthen the well-being of UCLES society members with a focus on community, efficiency, innovation, opportunity, and empowerment, as well as serve as a communication touch-point for constructive feedback on any aspects of welfare that members believe can be improved inside the UCLES society.
In short, I believe I am competent to maintain UCLES as a society where everyone can continue to find support and feel like a part of a legacy in the making.
