Udaya Goel

As a first-year representative heading the UCLES Engineering week, I have closely worked with the team, and I am proud to mention that it was a success. As I ask for your vote to be the Head of Events and Social at UCLES, I bring immense experience in logistical planning, event coordination, interpersonal and analytical skills.

As the head of the engineering week, my event organizing skills were tested, and I believe I lived up to the expectations the committee set for me before handing me over the role.

The sitting committee has worked very hard in the current tenure for the betterment of the society, and as head of events, I will add to that and continue to work for the advancement, visibility, and success of the society. While planning future events, I wish to focus on increasing student engagement, and that will be the prime motto for every event the society hosts in the coming year.

Each vote will be a vote for the benefit of the society.

Having worked with the committee, I am now aware of society's immediate and long-term needs. Making me the most efficient candidate holding the values of productivity, efficiency, managerial skills, and administrative skills to head all events held by UCLES in the coming year.

Anna Mazzoleni

Hi! I’m Anna, a 2nd chem eng student and I’m running for Head of Events. When I’m not contemplating my life choices, I am normally commenting on how pretty the sky looks or complaining about the weather, oh and of course organizing events!

This year I had the pleasure to be one of UCLES’ events executives, where I helped in organizing our many events and was lucky to make many new precious friendships and memories. I believe this has given me the experience and equipped me with the organizational and social skills necessary for this role

As Head of Events I will aim to do the following:

-non-academic socials on a regular basis

-continue to bring in inspiring speakers/companies, ensuring all our members can find a field that suits their interests and have an upper-hand at developing their careers

-Hackathons and workshops, to foster new ideas and grow the skills of our members

-hold our large events: Engineering Ball, Halloween Party and London 2050

-sports tournaments/games between engineering courses, promoting a sense of community in our departments

-events dedicated to mental health/wellbeing, including bringing in experts for advice, meditation, painting, sports sessions and workshops

-volunteering events to give back to our communities

I would love to be able to organize many new events over the next year and continue in bettering and growing UCLES together!

Shadi Madieh

As Engineering Students working hard year round, we definitely do not have time to waste on badly planned events. This is why each and every social and event should be planned to perfection with all details taken into account to make for the perfect events and socials that we can all enjoy. Fun events and socials will be planned year-round to help you meet other like-minded people. Events which are inclusive of all will always be priority.

Vote for me as Head of Events and Socials and I will make sure your time is never wasted. Thank you!
