Melodie Li

Hi guys:)  I’m Melodie, BSc Economics and Statistics student running for the position of Technology VP. With great passion in technology consulting, I hope to guide my team to benefit new members in making the most of the society next year.

About why I fit this role…

  • Working as the student consultant for a fintech startup in Malaysia, identifying new databases to compute and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and suggesting incentivisation and monetisation ideas.
  • Solid programming and quantitative skills in R, Python, STATA, SQL, and Tableau gained from my degree and work experience.
  • Actively Participated in LSE Annual Datathon, 2021 Google Hackathon, Citadel Europe Datathon, DSS Hackathon.

About my key goals…

  • Keep building relationships between UCLCS and leading consulting firms to provide interactive and engaging workshops and networking opportunities for society members.
  • Increasing the volume and quality of technology consulting student projects undertaken by the society.

I couldn't wait to join the team and  sustain the growth of the Technology division. Look forward to being your next Technology VP!

Anda-Raluca Epure

My name is Anda-Raluca Epure, and I am a second year MSci Mathematics with Economics student.
I am running for the position of Head of Technology in the UCL Consulting Society. As the Treasurer of the society this year, I was in charge of all the financial matters concerning the society. I had the chance to understand “the spirit” of the society and to pass it on to the committee and to our members.
For the upcoming year, I would like to offer our members more chances to discover Tech or Digital Consulting. My plans would be to build on previous initiatives and potentially introduce new ones. Some of my ideas include:
- Flagship event for the Technology Division: HACKATHON, organized in collaboration with sponsors;
- Python classes for beginners, intermediaries and advanced level;
- Programming classes on a new programming language of interest to the members;
- Panel discussions on topics such as : WOMEN IN TECH, TECH CONSULTING with outside speakers.
Further, I think that I possess the right skillset for this role. By holding three leadership positions this year, I developed my time management, organizational, communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. I have previous experience in the use of Technology within different industries: Banking, Consulting, and Software Development. In addition, I have an intermediate level of programming in Python and C++.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my manifesto!

Zara Mahesh Ratnani

Hi everyone! My name is Zara, and I’m running for the position of the VP of Technology. As a first year student studying Information Management for Business, I am extremely curious about how innovation and revolutionary changes in businesses arise from converging technologies and artificial intelligence. That said, I hope to add more value to this society by exposing members to the digital and technological sector of consulting.

My experience of being Head Girl at high school, along with having technology-related internships in my past years equipped me with communication, organisation and leadership skills, which would prepare me to take on this position.

If elected as Technology VP, I aim to:

  1. Organise webinars and in-person events by reaching out to tech specialists and distinguished speakers to provide members with invaluable insights regarding personal experiences and the true importance of technology in firms.
  2. Host specialised workshops focused on educating members on the use of cross-sector expertise of technology and consulting, allowing them to help firms thrive among industry innovation.
  3. Work with other divisions in the society to increase the number of technology-related case studies and competitions.
  4. Get feedback and opinions from members in the society to implement new ideas.

As Technology VP, I aim to benefit members of this society by sustaining the growth of the technology aspect in consulting.
