I am very pleased to be part of CSSA during my university study. I am excited to embark on this new adventure and hopefully have a great time.
We must advocate for our society to serve more students in a wider aspect. When I say I have a strong desire to participate, I believe I speak for the majority of First-Year CSSA members. I aspire to be career head because my emotional intelligence enables me to comprehend the collective opinions/concerns of my peers and convey them succinctly and clearly.
Previously, I volunteered at a disabled school, mentored younger children about Chinese and Maths; cooperated with individuals in a variety of job situations. These activities aided in the development of my communication and problem-solving skills.
These leadership, empathy, and communication abilities were honed during my position as chair of my high school's computing club. I was able to comprehend the worries and inquiries of all parties and work with them to find a solution. This included organising events, seminars and handling event logistics, as well as providing individual care to students. My experience and skill set enables me to serve as an effective arbiter.
I've had a great time meeting so many new friends in CSSA, and I'm looking forward to working together in the future!
Working in the career division for two terms, I have gathered experience working along with other members and the senior committee team. I aim to incorporate my experience and facilitate the following events as the Head of Careers.
I wish to work closely with the Business Information team and communicate with a wider range of companies. Within this event, I will enable more CSSA students to gain access to original contents from Investment Banking to healthcare and fashion industry on a weekly/biweekly basis.
Career Lab over the past years has gained attention and influence among students. In regard to the increasing demand for career advice from diverse industry backgrounds, I hope to invite speakers from all walks of life for TED talk and panel talk. On the other hand, I will promote this educational opportunity to more students with the help of other divisions in CSSA and expand our impact.
Preparing for Vocational Knowledge Research session together with the committee, I recognize the importance of the events we are hosting and will devote my event planning skills to help the team in the following year.
